Michael Jordan’s son accused of assault at Arizona hospital

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A son of NBA legend Michael Jordan is accused of assaulting hospital staff members after he suffered an injury from falling at an Arizona nightclub, authorities said.

Jeffrey Jordan, 32, was arrested Friday on one count of aggravated assault against healthcare professionals, KPHO reported. He was released from the Scottsdale City Jail about an hour after he was booked into the jail, the television station reported.

According to the Scottsdale Police Department, officers were called to the Casa Amigos restaurant at about 1:15 p.m. MST for a separate incident when security personnel asked them to take Jeffrey Jordan out of the establishment for medical attention, KNXV reported.

Jordan was bleeding after he slipped and hit the back of his head on a table, the television station reported.

Jordan was taken to an area hospital for treatment, where he allegedly assaulted hospital staff members, according to KPHO. Investigators did not provide any specific details about the alleged assault, the television station reported.

Jordan has not been charged with a crime, KNXV reported. Police said his case will be forwarded to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for a review and charging decision, according to the television station.
