Man arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman to death at an Ohio apartment

DAYTON, Ohio — A man was arrested on Friday for allegedly stabbing a woman to death at an apartment complex in Ohio.

According to WHIO, Dayton Police Department were called out to the Wentworth Apartments by the property manager at around 7 p.m.

The property manager who called 911 told dispatchers that he had allegedly seen blood in the hallway and heard a woman screaming, according to court records obtained by WHIO. He then told the dispatcher that the screams he heard were coming from an apartment where a woman lived alone but had someone else staying there recently.

According to the court records obtained by WHIO, DPD said Deandre Lloyd, 42, was seen leaving the apartment. When he saw the officers, he allegedly ran down the hallway, up the stairs and to an exit, which is where he was taken into custody.

Lloyd allegedly was wearing a bloody shirt and pants and had a bloodied knife in his possession when he was arrested, according to WHIO.

DPD found a woman in the apartment unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries, according to court records obtained by WHIO.

Lloyd allegedly denied stabbing the woman to police, according to court records. He was arrested and has been booked on recommended charges of two counts of murder and two counts of felonious assault.

The woman’s identity has not been released, according to WHIO.
