PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — A child who had evacuated with his family to escape Hurricane Ian fell to his death from a balcony.
The 11-year-old boy was found dead after falling from the balcony at Sterling Reef Condominiums, a Panama City Beach spokesperson told the Panama City News Herald.
The child had been staying with his family in the building after evacuating from Jacksonville during Hurricane Ian, WJAX reported.
Officials told WJAX that the child fell from the 19th floor of the building. No foul play is suspected.
