The family of “Annie Hall” actress Diane Keaton has announced her cause of death.

Her family issued a statement to People magazine saying that she died from pneumonia on Oct. 11.

The statement said they were “very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days.”

The statement then spoke about the causes she supported throughout her life.

“She loved her animals and she was steadfast in her support of the unhoused community, so any donations in her memory to a local food bank or an animal shelter would be a wonderful and much appreciated tribute to her,” the publication reported.

Variety reported that paramedics were called to Keaton’s home and took her to a hospital, where she died on Saturday.

Fans and co-stars have been paying tribute to the Oscar-winning actress. “The First Wives Club” co-star Bette Midler wrote on Instagram: “The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died. I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me.”

AMC Theaters planned to show “Annie Hall” and “Something’s Gotta Give” in Keaton’s memory, playing the films for the next week.
