According to The Associated Press, Yaqub Salik Talib, 39, turned himself into authorities Monday, days after Michael Hickmon, 43, was shot and killed.

Witnesses reported to Lancaster police that Yaqub had allegedly pulled out a gun and had shot Hickmon multiple times after some kind of disagreement between the “opposing coaching staff of two youth football teams over calls made by the officiating crew,” which led to a fight, said the AP.

Hickmon was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Yaqub allegedly fled the scene with the weapon after the shooting. Police told the AP that they had issued a murder warrant for Yaqub.

Yaqub is the brother of five-time NFL player Aqib Talib, who retired in 2020, according to the AP.

Police are continuing to investigate what led up to the shooting, and no further information has been released.
