JSO: Woman killed after getting hit by two vehicles on University Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman died after she was hit by two different vehicles Saturday night, Jacksonville police say.

The woman, who has not been identified, was crossing the street in the 2100 block of University Boulevard around 8:45 p.m. when a male driver in a White Chevy traveling south struck her.

Then, a sedan of an unknown make and model also traveling south struck her while she was on the ground. The woman did not use a crosswalk.

The driver of the White Chevy remained at the scene and is cooperating. It is unknown if he will face any charges at this time.

The owner of the sedan did not stop. It is possible that the driver did not know they struck the victim, police say.

This is the 164th traffic fatality in Jacksonville this year and the 44th involving a pedestrian.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help to find the owner of the sedan which may have front-end damage. Anyone with any information should call JSO at 904-630-0500.
