Jacksonville, Fl — We have another very nice day with sunshine and mild temperatures in the low to mid-80s. It’ll be breezy again with gusts as high as 30 mph at times. Wind gusts on Monday were as high as 40 mph.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says our wildfire danger will continue to grow each day without rain, despite the generous rainfall over the weekend. May is the peak of our fire season and the period with the highest evaporation rates.

Overnight, we will be clear and cool. Temperatures will drop to the lower to mid 50s inland and lower 60s along the coast and river.
The rest of this week will be mainly dry with highs in the lower to mid 80s. By Friday we feel a little warmer with higher humidity. Temperatures are likely to be in the mid-80s.
An isolated shower returns for the end of the weekend.
⚠️ Another dry & breezy day will create elevated fire danger conditions along and north of the I-10 corridor in NE FL & most of SE GA.
