Going to the Jaguars Game Friday? Here’s What You Need to Know

The Jaguars are back at EverBank Stadium Friday night for their final preseason game, with Jacksonville taking on Tampa Bay at 7:30 p.m. But if you’re heading downtown, this is definitely a game where you don’t want to wait until the last minute. With Stadium of the Future construction underway, traffic patterns and getting around the stadium are a little different this season. The Jaguars are warning that traffic delays should be minimal around 3:30 p.m., moderate by 4:30 p.m. and heavy after 5 p.m. Translation: leave work, grab your teal and get moving!

Jaguars vs. Buccaneers: Quick Game Day Guide

  • 3:30 p.m. — Parking lots open
  • 4:30 p.m. — Gates 1, 4 & 7 open
  • 5:30 p.m. — All stadium gates open
  • 7:30 p.m. — Kickoff
  • Download your mobile tickets before you arrive so they’re ready to scan.
  • Clear bags can be no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Non-clear clutches and wallets are limited to 4.5″ x 6.5″.
  • EverBank Stadium is cashless and smoke-free, and re-entry is not permitted.
  • The upper decks, North End Zone Deck and Sky Patio are closed because of stadium construction.
  • The Main Concourse still allows you to make your way around the entire stadium and access all seating sections.
  • Hungry? Look for Fan First Favorites under $5 at Stadium Classics concession stands.
  • It’s August in Jacksonville, so stay hydrated and take advantage of the stadium’s designated cooling locations.

There’s also a new interactive stadium map that can help you find concessions, restrooms, merchandise and guest services once you’re inside. The biggest advice, though, is pretty simple: arrive early. Between Friday afternoon traffic and construction around the Sports Complex, giving yourself an extra hour could be the difference between enjoying the pregame atmosphere and watching kickoff from your car.
